Albert Franklin Burns

In 1912 Frank Burns family moved off their homestead to open a store in Dafoe.  Since September 1st., 1910, they ran the first Foote (Big Quill) Post Office from their house on the farm on SW.28.31.18.  When the post office moved into their new premises in town, Barney Olafson was the first in to apply for Dafoe P.O. Box #1 which their family held for many years.  Frank and his wife continued to run the Post Office from their store until he died on March 24th., 1932.
