The Downing Family
Although I did not mention the Downing family in
my diaries in 1933, I mention them here because they later became close
relatives and friends. In 1912 Arthur Downing married Annie, daughter of
Jim and Eunice Fennemore. My dear friend and bandleader George Fennemore
was Jim's nephew, who lived across the road from us until 1947. Arthur and
Annie's second daughter Mabel married my brother Clarence in 1941?, but died
prematurely at 34 years in 1947. Reg, Wesley and Viola lived in Saskatoon,
but use to visit us and Fennemores regularly in the 40's.
