Elmer R. Fines
I mention the Fines family only once in my diary
on Saturday July 8th., when Mr. Files joined us for dinner. Elmer Fines
and his wife were school teachers at different times at Copeland School.
They lived in the teacherage
(house) on the school property two miles south of us on
NE.32.
Elmer was one of 5 provisional directors of the Copeland Community Hall
Co-operative Association formed in 1934.
Sylvia ? (nee Thornton) relates that Mrs. Fines taught kinder garden when she
first went to school at age 6. Previous to this, her older brother Bob got
the strap on his first day of school from Mr. Fines.
