John Sebastion Holizki

I do not mention John Holizki in my diaries, but I've included him here because he witnessed my father's land grant papers on May 28th, 1910.  Robert Whitelaw from NW.4 was Dad's second wittness.  John homesteaded quarter section SE.24.31.18 which was three miles directly west of Dad's original homestead NW.16.31.18.  John was born in Austria in March 1880 and immigrated to Canada in 1900.  He married a Russian girl named Goloi (born March 1891) who had moved to Canada in 1905.  Their common bond was their Lutheran faith.  In 1908 their daughter Emma was born at Copeland.
