Nora B. McMeans
I mention Miss McMeans in my Chick's Diary on
Sunday February 19th., 1933.
Usually on Sundays we went to church in the
morning or listened to sermons on the radio, but this Sunday was different.
Joe Fox and his kids came over in the morning in their sleigh cutter to visit.
Herb and Ida Reeve came in the afternoon with their 15 year old son Billy and
daughter Ida who was 14. There house on SW.14 was kitty-corner to our
place on 10. They brought along Miss McMeans who was the school teacher at
the Big Quill school. She lived in the teacher's quarters in the
schoolyard on SW.30.31.17, but she was visiting with Reeves for the weekend as
Herb was a trustee for the BQ #2323 school district. The school was about
2 miles northwest of Reeve's farm.
